My desire to make fully functional teapots that are usable, and question the role of handmade functional ceramics today as the ceramics world seemingly is becoming much more Art orientated. I wish my teapots to be seen as works of art, but also used. So I am producing something not many people want to make anymore, even though it is an iconic figure that is always present within our tradition. |

My creative concerns are to produce functional teapots that express an element of animation to them, showing movement of the wheel as my tool of being a craftsman, and added movement to spout and handle to echo and balance the whole teapot within itself, the teapot must intrigue and entice how the viewer will hold and make the teapot function. I want to express my skill within the making of the teapots, as the process is an important element to me,
