Specific experiences of landscape were recorded and then translated by afamiliar palette of colour and line. These studies provided an insight to theessence of that moment, in an abstract sense, that was a conduit to atranslation and application upon the unassuming vessel.

The patterns found on the vessels allow vision to meander, and frequency of line implies undulations found within landscape. They persuade the viewer's imagination to attach personal experience to the instance initially felt by the artist. The experience becomes subjective and personal. The aim, through colour and pattern, is to express and communicate to theviewer those sensations triggered by the eye as it scans the vessels expanse, so they feel themselves inside the vessel, as one would feel viewingthe landscape and those horizons within it.

My work will continue to pursue these outcomes at Fireworks Studios, 24 Tudor Lane, Riverside, Cardiff, CF11 6AZ. Tel 02920 397195
